Questions, answered plainly

What does Radiant help with?

Three things. Mutual fund advisory — reviewing the portfolio you already hold, aligning it with your goals and understanding where it may need attention. Insurance guidance — understanding your cover, reviewing an existing policy or making a better-informed decision. And claim assistance — professional help when an insurance claim becomes difficult, delayed, reduced or rejected.

How does Claim Assistance work?

You tell us what has happened. We review the policy wording, the insurer's communication and whatever documentation you have, then explain in plain language the ground the insurer has actually relied on and what the appropriate next step is. Where the case supports it, we help you organise the documentation, draft the response and pursue the matter through the insurer's grievance route and, if applicable, the Insurance Ombudsman. You are kept informed throughout, and nothing is submitted on your behalf without your approval.

Can Radiant guarantee that my claim will be settled?

No. Radiant provides claim assistance and support. Claim admission and settlement remain subject to the insurer, policy terms and applicable grievance or regulatory processes. What we can do is make sure your case is complete, correctly presented and properly followed up, and tell you honestly when a claim is unlikely to succeed rather than take on work that cannot help you.

Can I execute an insurance or mutual fund decision myself after taking guidance?

Yes. That is the advisory mode and many people prefer it — you receive the analysis and an action plan, then act on it independently. If you would rather not handle the paperwork, we can help coordinate the administrative process where the service permits it. Either way the decision stays yours.

How are Radiant's professional fees explained?

The scope of work and the applicable professional fee are explained before the engagement begins. You know what Radiant will do and what you will pay before you proceed. No fee should be a surprise at the end of the process.

What is the difference between direct and regular mutual fund plans?

They are two plans of the same scheme, holding the same portfolio. Direct plans generally exclude distributor commission and therefore typically have a lower expense ratio. That does not remove market risk or guarantee a return — actual outcomes still depend on market performance, fund selection, costs and how long you stay invested. Mutual Fund investments are subject to market risks, read all scheme related documents carefully.

What does a portfolio review actually look at?

Allocation against your goals and time horizon, concentration that has built up quietly, overlap between funds holding substantially the same underlying stocks, and whether each holding still suits the reason you bought it. Many reviews end with small adjustments or none at all.

What does a policy review cover?

The wording rather than the brochure — what is actually covered and excluded, waiting periods, sub-limits such as room-rent caps, co-payment clauses, whether the sum insured is realistic, and cover you may be paying for and do not need.
